The steel mounting bracket shown here was manufactured for military use and is composed of a high strength steel. Fabrication required laser cutting and metal stamping; laser cutting was used to cut the blanks in preparation for stamping.

Quality control was maintained through the use of dimensional inspections that included measurements using micrometers, calipers, and a CMM.
