High Volume Metal Stamping

Aranda Tooling is one of the most established metal stamping companies on the west coast. We are the only company on the Pacific coast with a 1,320 press ton. In any given week, our shop produces over 1,000,000 precision parts. We work with numerous industries, including automotive, home hardware, construction, renewable energy industries, and more. Our high-volume services include:

  • Transfer and progressive dies
  • Welded assemblies
  • Mechanical assemblies
  • Laser cutting

What is High-Volume Metal Stamping?

At its core, metal stamping is the process of converting flat metal sheets into specific shapes. It is a highly used process that can be found in countless products. A typical car is likely to have multiple parts that were made with metal stamping. In addition to consumer products, metal stamping is widely used in industrial machinery.

The exact process of metal stamping will vary a great deal based on the product and material used. As an example, fourslide metal stamping will allow for more intricate forms. On the other hand, progressive die stamping will provide better cost savings when used at high volumes.

What Are the Advantages of High-volume Production Metal Stamping?

High-volume stamping is advantageous for many industries. Notable examples include automotive, appliances, and other large-scale sectors. Key advantages of high-production metal stamping include fast production speed, reduced scrap material, fast setup, and more geometric options with a single process. High-volume metal stamping also offers great repeatability, longer production runs, and a favorable cost-per-unit ratio.

Aranda guarantees that clients will be satisfied with our speed, reliability, and attention to detail. We can handle just about any high-volume precision stamping, including Body-in-White components, complicated tight tolerance parts, battery contacts, and much more.

What Kind of Production Metal Stamping Should I Use for My Project?

Our shop is equipped with over 50 different state-of-the-art punch presses. We can accommodate capacities of up to 1,300 tons. We can stamp the following commonly used materials, including:

  • Aluminum
  • Brass
  • Titanium
  • Bronze
  • Stainless Steel
  • Copper
  • High Carbon Steel
  • Low Carbon Steel
  • Inconel
  • Nickel Alloys

If you have any questions about which process or material is best for your project, our expert team can help you decide.

What Machinery Helps You Meet These Production Quantities?

With our expansive quantity of stamping machines, we can meet a wide range of specifications:

  • Thickness: 0.005” to 0.5”
  • Maximum part width: 48”
  • Press beds that can accommodate tooling up to 240” by 70”
  • Maximum hydraulic press stroke: 18”
  • Maximum mechanical press stroke: 31”

In addition to these wide ranges, we have fully automated robotic transfer mechanisms in addition to in-die sensors. This enables us to meet very demanding production volumes. To further maximize efficiency, each press has its own dedicated feedline. In total, we have nearly 30 robots assisting with press operations, mechanical assembly, MIG welding, resistance welding, and packaging.

We can provide a variety of tooling services, including:

  • Progressive Die Stamping
  • Compound Die Stamping
  • Transfer Die Stamping
  • Punching
  • Blanking
  • Coining
  • Embossing
  • Flanging
  • Bending

Work With Aranda Tooling

Aranda has been in the tooling and stamping business for nearly 50 years. While we have humble beginnings, we have emerged as one of the premier metal stamping and fabrication companies on the West coast.

With approximately 50 punch presses, our factory has a very high production capacity. In conjunction with independent feedlines and robotics, our presses can produce anywhere from 750 to 60,000 pieces per hour. With a dedicated in-house tooling department, we are unlikely to endure unforeseen or prolonged downtime. When needed, we can provide emergency services to help meet strict deadlines.
