Zinc Plated Diaphragm Cover
The diaphragm cover shown here was manufactured for a customer in California, and utilized several of our manufacturing processes. A progressive die production tool was manufactured from customer supplied drawings. Production was performed using a 175 ton stamping press, and formed from C1008-1010 low carbon steel coil. Our high speed production capabilities allowed for speeds of 20,000 pieces per day during peak production.
After stamping, parts were threaded on an automated tapping line prior to zinc plating. In die fiber optics was used to measure the vent hole, and the finished diaphragm cover measured 1.269" in diameter and 0.582" in height.
